If you are weighing Aris Product Options, Variants vs Globo Product Options, Variant, start with this: both are product options apps. They add extra option fields beyond what Shopify variants allow, so you can offer things like custom text, file uploads, color swatches and paid add-ons on a product page.

The Aris listing describes a product-options builder for complex products, with add-on pricing, bundles, file upload and color swatches. The Globo listing describes unlimited custom option fields, including swatches, file upload and paid add-ons.

The overlap is large. Both listings carry the same 30 feature tags, including conditional logic, size charts, variant upcharges, setup charges, translation and import and export. Each app has one tag the other lacks:

Price and plans in practice

Both apps have a free plan you can use on a live store. The Aris FREE FOREVER plan includes Shopify color swatches and 23 option types. The Globo FREE plan includes color and image swatch option types. If swatches are all you need, either free plan may be enough.

For a small store moving to a paid plan, here is what the pricing cards showed on October 26, 2026:

• Aris: PRO is $12 a month, ADVANCED is $24 a month and PREMIUM is $59 a month. Each has a yearly option ($120, $240 and $590) that the card says saves 17%. Shopify Plus stores pay more: $29 a month for PRO and $39 a month for ADVANCED. The PREMIUM card notes an additional usage fee for API usage.
• Globo: PREMIUM is $9.90 a month and ADVANCED is $19.90 a month. A seasonal Black Friday and Cyber Monday offer on the listing cut those to $4.95 and $9.95 for the first three months. After that, the regular price applies.

Every paid plan on both apps has a 14-day free trial. Both listings say charges are billed in USD every 30 days.

In practice, a small store on a standard Shopify plan pays $9.90 a month on Globo or $12 a month on Aris for the first paid tier, before any intro offer. A Shopify Plus store on Aris pays the higher Plus price. Globo’s pricing cards do not mention a separate Plus price.

Theme support, setup and help

Globo’s developer FAQ says the app is built for Online Store 2.0 themes. According to the FAQ, that covers every theme in Shopify’s current theme store and most themes sold elsewhere. If you run an older theme, check it during the trial.

Aris states nothing about theme support on its listing or the developer pages we could read. Use the 14-day trial to confirm the app displays correctly on your theme before you rely on it.
