What each app is for

Both apps do the same core job. They add option fields to a product page beyond what Shopify variants allow, so a customer can type a name, pick a date, tick a checkbox or choose an add-on. If you are weighing SC Product Options vs Infinite Options, start with what you sell, because the two listings lean in different directions.

SC Product Options, from Shop Circle, is a long-running app that used to belong to Bold. It went live on the App Store in December 2012. Its listing focuses on custom fields, file uploads and priced add-ons. Tags that only it shows include File upload, Translation, Tiered pricing, Bulk pricing and several stock tags such as Low stock alerts and Hide out-of-stock. Swatches are part of the Premium plan.

Infinite Options, from ShopPad Inc., went live in June 2015. Its listing describes text fields, buttons, dropdowns, date pickers, conditional logic and add-on products on a single plan. Tags that only it shows lean toward bundles and discounts: Fixed bundles, Mix-and-match bundles, Build a box, Gift boxes, Gift wrap, Variant upcharges and Cart discounts.

The overlap is large. Both listings show swatches, conditional logic, dropdowns, custom text, dates, add-ons, setup charges and import and export.

Price and plans in practice

Neither app has a free plan for a live store. Prices below are as shown on October 26, 2026, billed in USD every 30 days.

SC Product Options has three plans:

• Developer: free, but only for development stores.
• Basic: $14.99 a month, or $149.99 a year. The card describes it as a way to collect extra information from customers.
• Premium: $39.99 a month, or $399.99 a year. The card lists priced options, conditional fields, swatches and editing in the cart.

Both paid plans have a 14-day free trial. So a small store that only needs a text field or two would start at $14.99. If you want swatches or to charge extra for an option, the card points you to Premium at $39.99. Paying yearly saves 17 percent, according to the cards.

Infinite Options has one plan, The Essential Plan, at $12.99 a month with a 14-day free trial. There is no yearly price shown. A small store pays $12.99 whatever features it uses.

Neither listing shows an intro offer, and neither ties its price to your Shopify plan.

Theme support, setup and help

Neither developer states anything about theme support on its listing or on the developer pages that could be read. That means there is no stated word on Online Store 2.0 themes or a theme app embed. Use the 14-day trial to test the app on your own theme before you pay.

For support, the SC Product Options listing says Shop Circle offers 24/7 live chat. The only help resource linked is an FAQ. Shop Circle’s separate support page did not load, so nothing here comes from it. The app is listed in 18 languages.

The Infinite Options listing says its plan includes live chat and VIP email support. It links an FAQ, a tutorial and app documentation. The app is listed in one language. Its listing carries the Built for Shopify badge, which SC Product Options does not.

Ratings as shown: SC Product Options has 4.6 stars from 1,253 reviews, and Infinite Options has 4.7 stars from 2,621 reviews. Both counts are large, and the small gap between them says little about which one fits your store.
