In more detail.

If you are choosing between LinkedOption Combined Listings and Rubik Combined Listings Swatch, start with this. Both apps do the same job. They take separate products, such as one shirt per color, and show them as one combined listing with swatches. The differences are in display options, the size of the free plan, and what each developer says about themes. All details below were read from the listings and developer pages on October 26, 2026.

What each app is for

LinkedOption Combined Listings comes from Lightcone. The listing says it links separate products as variants of one combined listing, with color or image swatches on product pages and product cards. It launched on the App Store in December 2022 and shows 5 stars from 147 reviews.

Rubik Combined Listings Swatch comes from Craftshift. Its listing describes the same idea: it groups separate products into a combined listing with image or color swatches on product pages and product cards. It launched in February 2026 and shows 5 stars from 115 reviews. Both listings carry the Built for Shopify badge.

The two listings share these feature tags: swatches, custom CSS, variants display, hide out-of-stock and stock availability. LinkedOption’s listing adds several more:

  • Dropdowns and radio buttons
  • Variant upcharges
  • Preview, translation, and import and export
  • In-stock display and auto-updates

Rubik’s listing shows no feature tags that LinkedOption lacks. It is listed in 17 languages. LinkedOption is listed in 7.

Price and plans in practice

Both apps have a free plan you can use on a live store. The limit is the number of product groups:

  • LinkedOption Free: 3 product groups
  • Rubik Free: 5 product groups

Say you sell 4 products that each come in several colors as separate products. On Rubik you would stay on the Free plan. On LinkedOption you would need a paid plan.

The paid tiers start at nearly the same price. They spread apart as you move up:

  • LinkedOption: Basic $9.99 a month, Advanced $19.99, Premium $39.99
  • Rubik: Starter $10 a month, Advanced $30, Premium $50

Each app offers yearly billing that saves 17%. That works out to $99.90 a year for LinkedOption Basic and $100 a year for Rubik Starter. The plan details we read do not state how many product groups each paid tier covers, so check that on each listing before you upgrade.

LinkedOption shows a 7-day free trial on every paid plan. Rubik’s listing shows no free trial. Neither listing shows an intro offer, and neither sets prices by Shopify plan. Both bill in USD every 30 days.

Theme support, setup and help

LinkedOption’s developer states nothing about theme support on the listing or on the developer pages we could read. If you run a heavily customized theme, ask Lightcone before you install.

Rubik’s developer FAQ says the app “is compatible with all Shopify themes, including popular ones like Dawn, Prestige, Impulse, Impact, Focal, Palo Alto, Symmetry, Stiletto, Broadcast, Release, and hundreds more.” Craftshift also publishes a supported themes list. Of the 61 themes Techiepugs tracks, that list names 58. They include Horizon, Dawn, Impulse, Prestige, Empire, Kalles and older ones like Debut and Brooklyn.

For help, both listings link to an FAQ, a tutorial and app documentation. LinkedOption’s listing says support comes from Lightcone but does not name the channels. Rubik’s listing says the Free plan includes real human live chat and email support from Craftshift.

Both apps have strong ratings from a modest number of reviews. Rubik launched only in 2026, so its track record is shorter. Use the free plans to test each app on your own theme before you pay.
