YMQ Product Options: The Free plan has unlimited option sets, products and orders with 16 option types.
Globo Product Options: The listing showed $4.95 a month for the first three months as a seasonal offer, then $9.90.
Globo Product Options: The FREE plan includes color and image swatch option types.
The feature tags Shopify shows on each listing. A tag is the developer's claim, not a test of how well it works.
Both apps do the same basic job. They add option fields to your product pages beyond what Shopify variants allow, so a shopper can type engraving text, upload a file, pick a gift wrap or choose an add-on that costs extra.
The Ymq Product Options listing describes a product options builder with more than 30 option types, swatches, file upload, option pricing and volume discounts. The Globo listing describes unlimited custom option fields, including swatches, file upload and paid add-ons.
Comparing Ymq Product Options, Variants vs Globo Product Options, Variant, the overlap is large. Both listings show checkboxes, swatches, conditional logic, dates, dropdowns, file upload, custom text, size charts, add-ons and custom and dynamic pricing. The differences are at the edges:
On October 26, 2026, Ymq showed 5 stars from 423 reviews and Globo showed 4.9 stars from 5,209 reviews. Both counts are large enough to read with some confidence, and neither rating settles which app fits your store. Globo carries the Built for Shopify badge on its listing. Ymq does not.
Both apps have a free plan you can use on a live store. Both bill in USD every 30 days, and every paid plan comes with a 14-day free trial. Neither listing shows a price that changes with your Shopify plan.
Ymq’s Free plan includes unlimited option sets, products and orders with 16 option types. The paid plans are Basic at $9.99 a month, Advanced at $16.99 and Plus at $26.99. (Plus here is the name of an app plan, not the Shopify plan.) The listing does not spell out what each paid tier adds in the facts we read.
Globo’s FREE plan includes color and image swatch option types. Its paid plans carried a seasonal offer on October 26, 2026:
Here is what a small store would pay over its first paid year on the entry plan, assuming the offer applies when you sign up. Globo PREMIUM comes to about $103.95 (three months at $4.95, then nine at $9.90). Ymq Basic comes to about $119.88. After the intro period, the monthly gap is 9 cents. If the offer has ended when you install, Globo PREMIUM is $9.90 from the start.
If your needs fit within 16 option types, Ymq’s Free plan may be all you need. If you only need color and image swatches, Globo’s FREE plan covers that.
Ymq’s developer states nothing about theme support on the listing or the developer pages we could read. Before you rely on it, install it on a duplicate of your theme and check the product page.
Globo’s FAQ says, “The app is built for Online Store 2.0 themes, which cover every theme in Shopify’s current theme store and most themes sold elsewhere.” Its works-with list also includes several page builder apps, which matters if you build product pages that way.
For help, the Ymq listing says support comes from YMQ and links to an FAQ. The app is listed in one language. The Globo listing says support comes from Globo Options, and its FREE plan card lists live chat and email support with no watermark. It links to an FAQ, a tutorial and app documentation, and the app is listed in 18 languages.
